Not sure of Liver Disorder, but I do have Hep C and CBC is Weird

by Adrianjohnm, Jan 18, 2009 07:57PM
I have been diagnosed with Hep C, and my CBC results are always the same, yet my DR. says I have nothing to worry about.  I live in Toronto, Ontario so these are in our mesurements.

WBC 14.3
RBC 3.77
MCV 108.4
MCH 36.1
RPW 15.3
Platelet 486
Neutros 10

I think I got these all correct as I was trying to get them when the DR wasn't around.  But I know most of my levels are high...at least according to the charts where they are saying almost everything is in the high zone.

Is this from the HEP C??  Or do I have something else to worry about that my idiot DR. (He is an Idiot!) isn't telling me about?

Please help as I am fed up wioth this idoit DR not telling me anything.

In fact when I found about the Hep C, all he said was..."You have Hep C." and that was it!  nothing, nada.  No specialists, no papers on what to do, nothing.

Can someone please help me with these blood results.  This is what my results normally are...at least the last 3 years have been like this when I have it done every 2 months.

Thanks all

Hi,
There is a Hepatitus (hepatitis) C Forum where you will get alot of answers. And there are other members that live your area, so they will be able to give you the names of doctors.

You will be needing a liver biopsy. A blood test so that you know what your "geno type" is and with that info they will know how long you should be on treatment if thats the route you will be choosing. You also will need a test for your viral load.

Also look on your labs to see what your AST and ALT are. Those numbers are important.
I don't know what the reference range is on you blood test, but your whites seem high? But again, i don't know the reference range.

So just go to the top of the page and click on "Forums" and you will see Hep C forum and others will be able to help you.

Good luck,
MO
