Paracetamol senitive liver

Hello Dr.X,
My friend has hypersensitivity to paracetamol. She rarely takes the drug but whenever she does she throws up. She had been admitted to a hospital about a month ago she has some problem with her liver.Even after conducting various tests of hepatatis and jaundice all turned negative. I guess is this hypersensitivity of the liver to the drug.
Kindly tell me the reason for the same and if possible the remedy.

Respected Doctor ,
I suppose you are not getting what i mean to say.I totally understand paracetamol hypertoxicity, but issue over here is hypersenstivity. My friend has hardly taken paracetamol in her life and whenever she takes a a 500mg pill she throws up she doesnt have to overdose herself.Neither is she into alcohol that much. so if you could diagonose this hypersenstivity to the drug even under the danger mark.

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Hepatotoxicity from paracetamol depends on the dosage. Acetaminophen when taken in therapeutic doses of up to 4000 mg/d demonstrated no adverse hepatic effects. In adults and adolescents, hepatotoxicity may occur following ingestion of greater than 7.5 to 10 g (ie, 24 regular-strength or 15 extra-strength caplets or tablets) over a period of 8 hours or less. However, chronic heavy alcohol abusers may be at increased risk of liver toxicity from excessive acetaminophen use.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
