SGPT AND SGOT WITH RESULT OF 61 FOR A WOMEN OF AAGE 50? IS THIS AN ISSUE

Hi, my mother (age: 50) has taken liver function test and the only two things which which are not within the range are SGPT and SGOT I.e '61'(Method: KINETIC IFCC). My mother had pain in abdomen couple of days back for three days, though she's doing fine now. Is this something to be concerned of?

Hi I agree, the numbers are elevated, and it would be a good idea to talk to the doctor.  Without more information it is difficult to help.
Does she have any symptoms? Drinking alcohol, some medications can cause an elevation.  If I were her I would talk to the doctor and/or see a liver specialist.

Is the original reason for testing due to her abdominal pain? Her numbers are not alarming, but we don't know the real reason for the testing. If you have any additional data - blood work, or imaging - then this may help us understand what maybe at play here. Any auto-antibody tests as well?
