Should I be concerned?

My 3 yr old has had pale, yellow, clay colored stool for the last 2 days. This concerns me a little because usually if food is digested correctly it would have color to it. Could this be from a cold or flu coming on? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Definitely give your physician a call and ask if she should be seen, if this is still going on.  Take care, JudyR395

It could be nothing, or it could be that bile is not flowing from the liver and gallbladder into the intestines, to help in food digestion. Bile is what give stool it's normal color. A lack of bile can happen if there is blockage in the bile ducts, Or other problems. You may want a have your child seen by a physician.

Take care,

Bob
