Side effects of Gall removal

Hi doc,
I had very fine gall stones which pained severly and therefore, got my gall bladder removed through Laproscopy on 24 April 2008. Since that very day I am getting a lot of swelling all over my body (which was never there before). The swelling is more noticeable on joint regions because when i move the joints the stretch can be felt in the skin. Got thyroid checked all was normal. Please suggest what can be the cause and what can I do for it.
