Statin + antidepressive and high GOT/GPT

by jgttpacol, Oct 12, 2009 08:12AM
Hello,
I have heart disease and I am taking Lipitor (10mg) and Zoloft (25mg) since 3 months now. My analysis came with an SGOT of 60 and a SGPT of 114.
My cardiologist said it was not "too" high and to keep with the drugs. I'll do new tests in February.

Is this ok? Can one sustain these kind of values without inducing permanent liver damage or getting other complications?

Thanks and regards. John
