IS there anything I can take to stop this pain? I hurt so bad I can't sleep, and eating doesn't interest me in the least. I do eat small meals, but then I bloat and have stomach pain.
I don't know what to do any more. My doctor seems to be about as useful as a trap door on a life raft. Any suggestions? Oh, yes, I live in rural Alaska and the nearest hospital is 150 miles from me. It's hard enough to find an M.D., let alone a specialist. There are no liver specialists, rheumatologists or endocrinologists IN THE STATE! We have to go to Seattle. Nice, huh?
I would not take advil at all with cirrhosis. The only ones I was given that were deemed safe were oxycodone and regular tylenol. Sorry you're in such pain! I take it it's from your poor legs? Oy, you are in quite a pickle! Could they give you morphine or is that only in the hospital setting? Just thinking out loud. Good luck!
