The normal range for ALT, 7-56 and AST, 5-40. There is no need to consult your doctor.

Let me add that different ranges are used, depending on who is doing the test, and what scale they are using. I just had blood work done and my ALT was 32 and AST was 26. My doctor uses a scale of: Normal ALT, 10-42 and AST, 10-42. So if you were going by my doctors scale, you would still be in the normal range.

Hope this is helpful

Bob :)
