cause of transplant for my 9 yrear old son

by pankaj8k, Jun 08, 2009 01:06AM
My son had Jaundice ,hepatitis A, very high AST and ALT both above 3000, PT above 40.I know my doctors did not tried to treat his jaundice , never gave vit K injection only gave him lot of platelates. during his hospitalozation his sugar level went very low (40) and he started behaving in difficult manner and doctor told us that it is sign of encephelopathy and it can cause permanent brain damage and immediate transplant is the only solution and I had belived them and got the transplant done. Now I realize that transplant  is not easy option.
