elevated SGPT & SGOT

My SGOT level is 171, normal range is 12-50. MY SGPT level is 105, and normal range is 21-72. I have been a pretty heavy drinker for years, which is most likely the reason for the high levels. Anybody know if I were to quit drinking altogether, would these numbers fall back into the normal range? Idfso, how long would that take?  Problem is I like to drink, and I have never had a problem on account of it, but I guess I might have to quit if it is screwing me up.

My SCPT is 138.9 U/L. Normal range for female is 31 max. What should I do to lower it down. I don't drink alcohol nor smoke.

its about my father's health. he is 52 years of age. he consumes alcohol. when he had his blood test. we were very shocked and worried, his all test were normal but his S.G.P.T (AST is 107 U/L and S.G.P.T(ALT) is 30 U/L
. PLEASE GIVE US SUGGESTION. IS IT VERY SERIOUS CASE?
