elevated liver enzymes and puritis of unknown etiology

I am a healthy, 43yo male, non-smoker. I consume approx. one glass of wine per month and drink no other alcohol.  Meds: No Rx.  OTC: Claritin 10mg Q3D.  NKDA.  I have a 15 year history of borderline to elevated Cholesterol with low HDL and an elevated A/G ratio.  No surgeries or hospitalizations.  I exercise (resistance training 3 x per week and run 3 x per week: running is at about 30 - 35 miles per week) and weigh 147# at 5'7".  I have lost approx. 10 pounds over the last 6 months but have attributed this to increase running mileage.  I am training for my second marathon.  First marathon was 12/07 and next marathon is 12/08.  Normal appetite.  No intentional dietary changes made.

I developed sudden onset of puritis (predominantly hands, feet, head and neck) with radiographia approx. 2 years ago.  Saw allergist - no scratch test recommended.  He recommended Claritin to "break the allergic response cycle" with decreasing dose/ frequency over time.  I have been unable to decrease the dose below one Claritin 10mg Q3days.  Puritis is controlled with Claritin.  No wheezing, rhiinitis, congestion, itchy eyes.  Normal PFT's.

Of concern are the following recent elevated fasting lab values:  no low values, all others normal:

Cholesterol, Total 260 mg/dl
Triglycerides 218 mg/dl
(HDL 43 Normal - this usually runs lower although high mileage runningmay be helipng?)

SGOT/AST 47 U/L
GGTP 100 U/L
A/G Ratio 2.1 gm/dl

Can you help with a likely diagnoses?  Appropriate work up?
