endoscopy report on duodenum

I was referred to endoscopy after I had a sudden cramp in my stomach.The portion of esophegus,stomach and pylorus was normal but duodenum report says  -  D1 -Erosion present
                 -A large polypoidal mass lesion seen at D1 & D2 junction
            D2 - Normal
    
            Biopsy - Not done
My doctor woudn't talk to the person who conducted this.
My question : Why the biopsy was not done, when the mass is large? Could it be that it was considered irrelevant? I am worried as my doctor is not giving any reply.

Sometimes they don't biopsy if it is in a place that can pose a threat to surrounding tissue by attempting to cut into it, or if it obvious to them it is malignant, and could metastasize (or spread). The doctor most likely wants to consult with the lead physician (not necessarily the one who performed the procedure), before talking to you about what your best options are.
