As we age, can the liver be felt when otherwise not felt?

I don't believe so. I was told by a transplant surgeon once that the liver doesn't age - just the vessels do. I never researched it so I don't know for sure but the surgeon was very smart. I don't see why the liver architecture would change with age if the lifestyle was healthy. Of course abuse can definitely alter the liver histology but otherwise I wouldn't expect significant change with age.
But, that is just my opinion.
