I did not even know I was sick until I got my gall bladder taken out, then wham.. I was told I have ESLD< cirrhosis, encephalopathy, muscle wasting, esophageal varices, ascites etc etc.
See a GOOD Dr. right away
Your liver enzymes can be elevated for many reasons. I know mine were elevated BEFORE my gallbadder was taken out. They went back to normal after the surgery. I had a liver biopsy to rule out autoimmune hepatitis. I have hepatitis, but NASH or fatty liver disease instead. I have tons of gas. I have to be careful about what I eat...can't have soda's. I have to limit my coffee intake, limit sweets, carbs, and fatty foods. Otherwise my liver will continue to be compromised. Please ask you doctor. I pushed for good care and FINALLY found a great doctor. Without a gallbladder, if you eat greasy fatty foods, you may experience cramping and diarrhea. Be careful...long term bad eating habits will mess up your liver.
Best wishes,
Ash
