gallblader connection

So, did getting rid of your gallbladder get rid of the blastocystis homini.  Recently found just a few Blastos in the stool specimen.  Recent gallbladder nuclear imaging test came back with the gallbladder functioning slow at 23% instead of the normal 35%. A stomacjh scan showed the stomach emptying a little slower that what is optimum. Help!  Any comments from anyone. If you take the gallbladder out and then treat the removal of the the blasto, what is the best treatments suggested to get rid of the blasto for good. I am reading that this is a very hard parasite to get rid of and I want to take the initial best course possible before developing a resistance to treatment. This is for someone who is only 13 years old.

I have only been diagnosed with blastocystic hominis 2 months ago after landing in hospital from dehydration, diarrhea, stomach cramps, bloating, weight loss, sweats, shivers (no fever), same symptoms as other b.hominis sufferers.

I have controlled the diarrhea with a restricted diet of one-pot stews (fresh meats and all vegies) and I can eat fresh fruits, except starchy bananas, and fruit juices with no added sugar.   I cannot tolerate any fats, carbs, dairy, sugar or grains, at all.  The diarrhea has ceased and I have started putting on weight (if I don't cheat on the diet)

As my digestive system is slightly improved, my Gastroenterologist has given me a script for Flagyl.  He said it may not work on the parasite, and may cause more diarrhea and nausea.  Oh joy!!  I also have pains upper right side.  Have had scans and ultrasounds, but nothing has turned up.  So I shall take the Flagyl, put up with the discomforts, including the thrush that comes with antibiotics.  So I shall let you know if this treatment is successful.

I hope you are continuing to do better now.  I am curious as to how you became aware of the b. homini.  My daughter does not have diarrhea but has a low ejection fraction from her gallbladder of 23%. She gets nauseous after eating. Did you have this stage of symptoms before you got to the stage of diarrhea?  Thanks for your help.
