hemangioma on liver

what causes this? Was diagnosed about 10 years ago. No problems.

A few months back, an MRI Tech told me that I had an hemangioma on my spine. I did a lot of googling, but my memory doesn't exist...

It turns out that I did not have one after all. There is tons of info on hemangiomas on the net. I believe that they can be congenital and never cause any problems, but sometimes they have to be removed. They can occur just about anywhere within the body. Basically I think that they are tumor like and filled with blood vessels. Maybe due to a genetic hiccup?

I would have my doctor, PCP that is, to stay on top of this situation. The best outcome would be that it just stops growing, and doesn't cause the need for surgery.
