high SGOT and SGPT

My 28 year old son recently had a blood test which showed high levels of SGOT (43) and SGPT (83).  As a parent I am concerned.  Can you please explain what this might mean and should he see a specialist?

Blood reports indicate malfunction of liver. But you need not to be worried so much.Your son will be alright  after treatment. You please consult a specialist (Gastroenterologist and hepatologist ) at your earliest.

These are liver function tests, and his readings are rather high. I think I would see a specialist and have him/her go over the results and see what can be done.
