I would think you would notice pretty quickly the aftermath of steroid abuse (but the effects can linger for a long time and sometimes permanently).
There are about a dozen conditions that cause most hepatic inflamation (inflammation) (with resultant enzyme elevation)... The doc may run a panel of antinuclear antibodies, TIBC, Ceruloplasmin, and other esoteric tests to look to other causes....
When is your next scheduled follow up? The doc will likely want to monitor your levels every 6 weeks I would think - until He/SHe sees a significant shift downward in these levels..
thanks for the input, my wife was freaked out and told her not to worry i would try and find some more info before my next visit to try and ease her mind, I am going back in on April 7th
