liver "lesion"

The radiologist has ordered an MRI of the liver after "a lesion" showed up on an MRi of my spine. Reasons for the request and what to expect. I think my liver function is normal and I have no symptoms except pain on my chest due to arthritis of the chest bone. Two years the amilases were high but showed normal figures in a later test.
Thank you for your response.

I had a lesion on CT scan...later had a MRI of the liver.  Turned out to ba a benign hemangioma.  I am having a f/u ultrasound next week just to make sure it didn't change.
