it could be as simple as a pinched nerve in your back that radiates to your chest and down your leg. check with your ortho doctor or your internist a pinched nerve can mimick many things.
This may be a sign that you have gall stones. Your liver and pancreas can become inflamed due to untreated or repeated gall stone attacks. I had a very serious attack of gall stones when I was 6 months pregnant. It was horrible pain under the right side of my rib cage. It turned out that I had a small pile of stones in my gall bladder, one of which became stuck in my bile duct (that's why it hurt so bad). This led to an inflamed liver and pancreatitis (inflammation of the pancreas). I was in the hospital for a month. They tried to hold off removing my gall bladder b/c of the baby. After two return trips to hospital I finally delivered a healthy boy 1 month premature. One week after I delivered I was back in the ER - another gall stone attack. This one was not as severe but I knew what it was when it began. They removed my gall bladder and I have been great ever since! Don't wait too long to check on this b/c the inflammation caused to the liver and pancreas can cause permanent damage if left too long untreated. I was very lucky to have three GREAT, caring doctors that saved not only my life but the life of my son.
That may be part of the reason I now have an unknown liver disease (cryptogenic) similar to NASH. My gallbladdar was so infected along with my appendix that I was in the hospital for quite some time. Surgery now it seems is quite simple . The surgery that I had done left me with a six in scar and an indentation 1 inch wide (looks like an extra belly button) where they had a drainage tube.
