please anyone respond very stressed

My husband has had all bloodwork done everything came back normal but liver enzymes was slightly elevated. He has been having some cramping pain off and on in gallbladder area so they did ultrasound yesterday morning. They called yesterday evening with results being abnormal. Said they seen a shadow I'm so stressed out and worried sick about this. He goes today for MRI on liver. Can anyone tell me what can cause the shadow other then cancer?

Fortunately, most cysts are benign and simply need to be watched from time-to-time. They may even disappear on their own as well.

I'd say try not to worry but I know that isn't easy. Since we know he doesn't have an advanced liver disease, then the odds that it is benign are greatly in his favor. Incidental liver lesions are fairly common and found much like in this case of your husband. Let us know how things are going.

Thank you for your response all they said when they called was they seen a shadow on his liver on right side, didn't say nothing about his gallbladder and he doesn't have liver disease that we know of

It's not clear from your message whether or not the shadow was detected in his gallbladder/bile duct system or in his liver. If it is in his gallbladder, then that was what they were likely looking for. So I assume it's within his liver.

The primary thing to keep in mind about liver lesions is that they are almost always benign, unless the patient has advanced or end-stage liver disease. The most common form of benign lesions is a hemangioma but a simple focal fatty region may be detected as well. His doctor is doing the right thing by going to the MRI next.

MR imaging is the best technique used in characterizing liver lesions. So once his doctors have the new imaging data, added to what they already have via US, they will very likely know what they are dealing with. So let's hope that it is benign.
