Abdominal swelling 4 years after liver resection

My wife has swelling in the abdomen that comes and goes. Its on the right side, below her right breast. The whole abdoman seems to swell up. She had a resection for cancer 5.5 years ago. No chemical treatments. Every checkup CT and MRI shows a clean regrown liver (they removed most of her liver), and when we have spoken with the doctors about her symptoms, which have only appeared in the past 6 months or so, they do not address the issue. I am of the opinion that this is cholestasis brought on by digestive issues and stress. I'm not sure what to do about this. Other than this issue she is an extremely healthy and fit 35 year old woman. She is a runner (4:08 marathon time in her last one a year ago). I would appreciate any thoughts on this. All her blood tests come back with the liver working fine, but we have not had a blood test done at the moment when her abdomen was swelling. I am not sure if that would be relevant to the test results. Her ultimate MRI was 6 months ago adn came back squeaky clean.

i would not be too concerned about the swelling if it comes and goes.  If the labs and scan are OK there is nothing to worry about.  many times after liver resections patients may GI symptoms that are not reflective of liver dysfunction
