After liver resection

I had a liver resection of the large side (gall bladder) 3 months ago tomorrow.  Some afternoons my abdomen feels puffy or swollen.  It isn't noticeable to sight and if I lay flat on the bed, my tummy jiggles when I shake it.  It's always gone by morning. I had two hernias repaired at the same time and the vertical incision is still slightly tender when I press on it.

It seems to happen more after I have eaten applesauce or beans.   My blood work and exam at 6 weeks was all fine.

i think that these symptoms are typical post-op.  I am hopeful that they will totally resolve within a couple of weeks.  did you have a cholecystectomy or a liver resection, and if the latter what for?

I had a liver resection because of a 1.5 cm solitary colon cancer met that grew for many years after my Stage IIIB dx before it was large enough to dx.  I was 38 months out from original surgery.

Thank you Dr.
