by pankaj8k, Jun 30, 2009 12:35AM
Dear Doctor, Its is really almost a month you wanted to know about my son's/ Chaitanya 9 yrs/post liver transplant. biopsy report. The report says as follows:

Liver biopsy shows maintained lobular architecture.Portal tracts show moderate amount of mononuclear cell infiltration. There is no interphase hepatitis. Focal collection of lymphocytes are also seen scattered within otherwise unremarkeble hepatocytes. No significant increase plasma cells are seen. No fibrosis noted.

Impression:

Liver Biopsy- No features of Autoimmune hepatitis,

My sons two tests are out of range since long time. Protien Globulin and serum igG is out of range. My son.'s tac level is 2.5 mg BD, Wysolone 2.5 mg OD

Could you advise right course of treatment and how we can take care of Globulin and IgG.

Thanking you

autoimmune hepatitis sometimes may not show classical histological findings so a short course of corticosteroids may be warranted to see if the liver test abnormalities may improve. repeat biopsy may also be warranted. they should also exclude post transplant lymphoproliferative disease.
