Day to Day Medications while on wait list

My husband has just been placed on the wait list for a liver transplant.  He is diagnosed with cryptogenic cirrhosis and HCC.  He will be having a T.A.C.E. procedure soon for the HCC.  I am wondering if there is any safe over the counter medications he can take for common ailments such as getting a cold, stuffy nose, cough, headache, etc.?  He is on no medications currently.  I think he may just have to learn to live with those minor ailments until the transplant.

acetaminophen is OK up to 2 grams a day (6 regular or 4 extra strength tylenol).  most sinus remedies are OK; he should try and avoid medications such as motrin, aleve and the like.
