How can I help my mom get a liver transplant?

My mom needs a liver transplant, and she now only has 2 months to live.  My question is, is there a long waiting list for liver transplants? Or are there very few people who need them? Will I be able to find a transplant before the 2 month period? And where should I look for organ donors?

it depends on what her MELD score is and what part of the country she lives in.  Live donors might be necessary if she doesn't have a high position on the list.  Please reference the UNOS website for more info about the area she lives in and the transplant centers in it.
