Liver Donor Itching

I have been experiencing persistent itching for a couple of years. I really can't remember when the itching started. But lately it has gotten unbearable! I have seen several doctors and it has been generally assumed for some time that the problem was related to my allergies. At first, antihistamines helped "take the edge off", but it has gotten to the point where now I am tripling the dose and it is not helping. I have tried so many things, with no success. In addition to antihistamines, I have tried different types of lotions and creams, I have switched to natural and fragrance-free products, but NOTHING works. My allergist has no explanation nor does my dermatologist.
Last week, I was going through some blood-work that I had done. My Alkaline Phosphatase, Eosinophil, and Immunoglobulin,  levels were all high. I had no idea what that meant, so I did a little research. Some of the information that I came across indicated that it could be liver related.
5 years ago, I was a living donor for my father. I am wondering if this could be a complication from the surgery and if so, is it common? What should I do?

you should go to the transplant center right away and ask them about this.  this could definitely be related to the surgery, ie a stricture.  It can also be unrelated.  At the minimum you will require a CT scan.
