Liver liver verse cadaver

My husband is in need of a liver transplant and is getting pretty sick.  I am wondering what has a better outcome;  a live liver donor from a close family member would or a cadaver donor?

there is no difference in success rates between the two.  the complication rate is the same but the complications are different.  a lot depends on the experience of the transplant team and how sick thye recipient is.  Check out the A2ALL group publications on Pubmed for some more data on live donor liver transplantation.
