Lymph Nodes & Hepatic Cysts

Hi There,

Can I check with you about on the followings?

1. Multiple small volume and prominent subcentimeter mediastinal lymph nodes with largest one seen in the aortopulmonary window measuring 0.7cm x 0.8cm.

2. Few stable hypodensities seen in the right hepatic lobe with the largest one seen in the segment 8 measuring 0.9cm x 1.0 cm.

i am not all concerned about the liver cysts but I am a bit concerned about the mediastinal nodes.  Is this from a CT scan and why was it performed?

the mediastinal nodes could reflect old TB or another past pulmonary infection.  if you are still losing weight this may need to be worked up further.

Hi Dr Thomas,

Yes, you are right that the report is from CT Scan. My complaints were that I was having "contractions" and pain at the abdominal area and also, I was losing weight easily like 3-4 kg for the last 5-6 months.

Now, I am taking omeprazole, doridone and mebetin mebeverine tablets before meals.

Hope that helps to explain why I had to do a CT Scan.
