MRCP Result

Dear Doctor,
My husband had LDLT  11 months ago.  He had mrcp done last week and the impression:
"Dilated common bile duct with a narrowed distal common bile duct at the ampulla of vater.  Underlying stricture would be difficult to exclude no identifiable gallbladder.  Several cystic areas noted within the left kidney as well as the posterior inferior right lobe of the liver". Also he has a very strong recurrence of hcv.  Any comment or guidance about this.
He had a liver biopsy last month and the result was not bad,,no fibrosis a little swelling of the liver also no rejections.

bile duct problems are very common after live donor liver transplantation.  It should be addressed more formally, ie ERCP, if it is contributing to abnormal liver tests.  the biopsy appears good but having recurrent HCV and bile duct issue over time could eventually become problematic.
