MY MOTHER NEEDS A LIVER TRANSPLANT

My mother is in stage IV of her breast cancer.  She went through chemo last year but hte cancer spread to her liver.  I live in CA and am currently waiting to hear back frin UCLA and UCSF to see if she will be accepted for a transplant.  The doctors at the hospital we are at are saying she will not be given her condition.  Are all states the same in how they evaluate a potential patient?  My brother and I are both willing to donate part of our liver if we are a match; does this make a difference?  I would think if we are willing to do that we could choose to haver her undergo the surgery even if the were rejected since she is i very bad condition.  Can someone please let me know what our options are because she needs this done very soon as she is terminally ill.  We plan on taking her to the Oasis of Hope hospital for cancer treatment once we get her a liver transplant.  Thank you.

unfortunately whether your mom has intrinsic liver disease and is in need of a transplant or the indication for transplantation is the cancer, transplantation is contraindicated, be it a live donor or not because the immunosuppression required after transplantation will make the cancer spread uncontrollably.
