What about a 2nd transplant

Hello My boyfriend is 22.  He is dying of liver failure.  He was diagnosed at age 19 and received the transplant at age 21 now its a year later.  They say he liver is completely damaged.  Any his kidneys is started to shut down.  They say he cant get another transplant cause it want work.  He didn't drink alcohol and still doesn't.  I would like to know if you really cant have a second transplant and why if not.  They say that it could be any day now.  So could you please tell me the truth about the second transplant.

There must be a reason that they will not consider him a candidate for a second transplant and you should be told what that is.  I know that Presby hospital in Pittsburgh is the best place for second transplants.  Have your boyfriend's doctor get in touch with their transplant coordinator with the particulars of his case.  I'm sorry for your pain.  I hope that it works out okay.  Be strong for your baby.

thanx but he passed today but i did ask them y he could not get another and they said that he was to sick but thanx

but i did finally get an answer they said because he was too sick, his body couldnt take the surgery
