cysts

by Molly1229, Jan 22, 2009 03:02PM
I have liver cysts and on a recent scan they keep getting bigger, latest measurement 5.6 cm x 5.2cm, 7mm, and 10mm.  I have right flank pain from time to time and have had my gallbladder removed 2 years ago.  I also have alot of full feeling in stomach..  Will the cysts keep growing?

typically liver cysts are simple cysts and they are asymptomatic and do not grow appreciably over time.  cysts of this size typically should not give you abdominal discomfort.  rarely patients can have familial cystic disease of the liver and kidney that could be symptomatic but the cysts are much more numerous and are larger.
