elevated bilirubin

i have elevated bilirubin have had blood work everthing else comes back good no hepititis do have slight yellowing in the eyes had ultrasound everything was ok why would my bilirubin be elevated should i be concerned and what should i do my family dr told me not to worry, what do you think?

10% of the general population have gilbert's disease which is a benign enzyme defect in the liver.  the bilirubin should be predominantly indirect in nature.  the isolated levels of hyperbilirubinemia will be higher during periods of fasting or stress.  I think that's what you have.
