enlarged belly after 6 month transplant

Hi,

I am 6 month post transplant patient (liver transplant).

I am recovering well with reasonable liver numbers.

However, my belly is recently getting bigger and sometimes is hard when I push  .  There is no noticeable weight gain though.

No swelling on my legs.  Liver numbers are still ok. No fever. no pain.

My doctor said it could be due to gas or weight gain on belly.

Should  I ask to doctor  for  ultra sound or CT scan ?

it can definitely be gas pain, etc.  If there is any concern that this could be related to ascites then an ultrasound should be performed.

But my doctor is not willing to do (any investigation) until i am really sick.

i think an ultrasound is relatively simple to do and that it would answer some questions.  push them on this.
