is Tenofovir helpfull??

Hi Sir, I am a pateint of Hepatatis B and my HBV DNA ( Quantative ) report is 3450 iu/ml..My doctor recommended me with Tenofovir..My ALT is 55.. so am in a good stage or bad??and is Tenofovir helpfull for me??and how long its going to take??

if the doctor feels that the elevated ALT is due to HBV then tenofovir is indicated. it is extremely well tolerated with minimal if any side effects. The only downside is that you will need to be on it for the immediate future without a drug holiday.
