liver failure

hi doctor, my mother almost died four years ago from end stage liver failure, doctors told us she had about three months to live she got progreesively worse over the three months and went into a coma for three weeks, somehow she survived and and remained off alcohol for about two years, she has been an alcoholic most of her life, mammy started drinking about two years ago i have noticed swelling around the abdomen but refuses to seek medical advice. as she does not live with us it is hard to keep an eye on her. i know she will not survive this time when she gets sick again, but do you kow how long before she does? i want to try to prepare my younger siblings as we lost our beautiful sister to suicide not long ago and i know if anything happens to mammy they will again be devastated.

she definitely must stop drinking as her liver will probably not recuperate this time around.
