pain medication

Hi Doctor,
I have been waiting for close to two years to be transplanted luckily I am still alive and kicken...I don't have a common blood type..I have been # 1 for my blood type for most of that time...well my question?
I have been taking some kind of pain pill for at least the last 3 years vicodine percoset luckily my doctor changed my meds to oxycodone because there is no asprin.about 8 month's ago I had been experiencing encephalopathy
frequently I was so sick I thought everyday was my last so I quit taking the pain meds.didn't have hardly any withdrawells and at first didn't miss taking them actually I was relieved that I didn't need them..well during this time my degenerative arthritis has worsened considerably to the point that it was getting unbearable..I had to start working out to stay as healthy and keep my weight down because I had gone over my bmi and was put on the inactive list..so beetween degenerative arthritis fibromyalgia
bad knee's and ankles gall stones and a few other pain related issues after seeing new x-ray's my doc put me back on oxycodone again and it is worrying me I have worked very hard with diet exersize and completely changing everything my meld score went from 20-24 to 13 and holding for the last 6-8 months although my doctor didn't put me on the same dose as before 15 ml x4 daily he gave me 5ml 3 times a day doesn't get rid of the pain I experience but does make it tolerable I'm just worried it could hurt me and stop the good health I am experiencing and I'll go backwards will this hurt me?

i definitely think that it is in your best interest to be on the least amount of this medication as possible.  i'm glad that you overall seem to be doing from the liver perspective.
