pediatric liver calcifications

Hi, I was hoping you would be able to help me.  My 5 month old son has several liver calcifications on both sides of the liver.  They first discovered the calcifications when i had my level 2 sonogram at 20 weeks pregnant.  I was tested both by blood and had a amnio for any possible genetic mutations or infections that could cause the calcifications and everything came back negative.  Since he has been born we have seen several doctors and he has had several sonograms and all the doctors are able to tell me is that he does indeed have calcifications but they dont know the cause or why they are there.  He is now 5 months old and 17.8lbs.  He is defianltely growing good and seems to have no signs of developmental issues.   Im wondering if you would have any ideas as to what could cause the calcifications and if they are harmful in anyway. Thank you!

unfortunately i do not know what these are.  as long as the liver blood tests are OK i would be reassured.  Wouldn't hurt to consult a pediatric GI just to play it safe though.
