question about immunosuppressants

Hi Doctor, regarding immunosuppressants such as CsA and Tacrolimus (Calcineurin inhibitors) and the mechanism by which they suppress the immune system (interlukin transcription?), is this suppressed part of the immune system the same part that fights HCV?

By being on a treatment either SOC or Triple-therapy, is the action of these treatments reduced or impaired by immunosuppresents.

it is believe that the HCV may have an accelerated disease course in part due to the use of immunosuppressive medications, but the exact mechanism by which this happens is not well understood.  The use of antiviral therapy for recurrent HCV should itself not be adversely affected by the immunosuppressive medication but protease inhibitors can affect the metabolism of the CSA and prograf.
