Asbestos exposure for 8 hours

Asbestos exposure for 8 hours

Hi , about 5 days ago i began removing an old vintage style oven that apeared to be made from steel frame construction with steel panels. however i did notice that there were asbestos sheets within the oven wich i then removed carefully wearing mask and gloves. i must note that the whole oven was sitting outside and that all materials within the oven had been exposed to the elements of rain and were therefore damp. after  i removed the asbestos sheeting i began to saw the oven into several pieces using a petrol still saw. my concerns came to light after a family member pointed out that the metal sheeting could of been sprayed with asbestos as it was an oven and they tend to have used asbestos as thermal insulation. i am 26 years old male, healthy and a non smoker. however i have become very worried as to how much asbestos i have inhaled if any, and the risks of getting any cancers relating to asbestos. obviously i have read many threads on the internet and many sites concerned with asbestos and lung cancer. these sites mainly indicate that high levels of asbestos inhaled for short periods of time and prolonged exposure are highest risks. Should i be worried? and if i am at risk is it work going to see an expert to get chest x ray etc? my doctor told me not to worry as it was a one time exposure,, but my main concern is that if the metal sheeting was coated in asbestos then i have bee sawing this for several hours. My stupidity and ignorance to such a DEADLY material may have cost me my future. thank you for your help!!
