Bac Lung Cancer

Hi There...

I have had a upper right lobectomy on Sept 14 2001.Stage 1A  BAC lung cancer...no chemo or no radiation..clear margins and no lymph node involvement.. ..it's been a little over five years now. cancer free. PRAISE GOD...and thou I realize that 5 yrs is maybe the magic number for most lung cancer survivor's...is it also meant for BAC Lung Cancer...I have heard not so....

Thank you for any information you can give me....

I had the upper right lobe removed last January 27th.  However, there were 3 out of 12 lymph nodes "affected" but all scans and tests since then came out OK.  I did have 2 rounds of chemo before I realized it would probably kill me and quit.  No radiation, of course, because the cancer's gone.  Now I am just getting checked all the time with xrays, CT scans, etc.  I can't believe it has been almost a year since my diagnosis!  Good luck to you and me.

Oh my God! Thank you Lord for letting me hear from someone with darn near my situation!
I had lower left lobectomy May 29, 2009. Stage 1A BAC (nodule 1.3 cm)...no chemo (there seems to be only one that "might" work, Tarceva) and no radiation (what will they burn out? the lobe's gone already).

90 % "chance" of making 5 years is what they tell me.  Mucho NO info on BAC. Only bad prognosis.

I have already survived breast cancer (BRCA 2 Mutation) for 6 YEARS! They swear there's NO relation to the lung cancer.

I Am so glad to hear your news!  PLEASE keep in touch!
