Thank you for your response. I did speak with the doc today. He prescribed prilosecPrilosec Prilosec otc and reglan (sp?) along with maloxx. I am hoping this will help her discomfort. She hasn't been eating and I know she needs to in order to keep her strength up. That is the one thing the docs have really stressed. I just want her to be strong and fight. Thanks again.
Hi. My mom hand lung cancer as well. She had a lot of problems eating due to the radiation right over her esophagus. I found cold items like yogurt or ice cream helped a lot. Smoothies are a great way to pack in calories and vitamins and it goes down easily. We also got some Ensure, high protein and weight gain both. Good luck to all of you!
Maybe she could ask her Dr to prescribe something for the nausea and that should also help with the burping.
