CTa of lungs- very worried

Hello, recently I went to the ER with chest pain.
On discovery that my d-dimer was high, they ordered a CT of the chest.
Everything was normal.
Then later in the week I had a virtual colonoscopy which I found overlaps the bottom part of the lungs.
I am 32 and now petrified that I'm going to get lung cancer from all of this.
Everything I read online suggests pretty significant risk from a chest CT to a young female.
Any information would be so appreciate. I am losing sleep over this.
Online researching all the time...

i'm no cancer doc, but i heard that the amount of risk from a CT is like around a hundred  regular x-rays. so you've had something like, 200 x-rays or so? i know a lot of friends who have had many more x-rays than that and don't have cancer anywhere.  go ask your doctor!  stop losing sleep.

i wouldnt worry too much on cat scan radiation, the amount of rads that the machine produces in a lung ct isnt very high.  its highly unethical and theoretically dangerous to a pregnant mother.
do you worry the same spending time outside while the sun is out?
several hundred xrays = to several hours in the sun, with that in mind, radiation danger is cummulative, be aware that shielding, time of the exposure, and distance is safety when dealing with radiation.
so, yeah, your radiation is not worrisome, even though your young.  a mammogram due to high attenuation of the xrays may actually be more dangerous.

you would get more dose on a coast to coast flight but most folks dont realize that.. i am a health physics technician and i work in nuclear power and deal with it every day/ tony you sound like an x ray tech or ex navy nuke lol..gail youll be fine and the benefit of early diagnosis far outweighs the risk of Chest CT
