Ca am "inactive TB" diagnosis be mistaken for Lung Cancer

Hi,

I recently took a medical check-up for the purpose of immigrating to Canada (from France).

I passed the medical checkup, and was granted the visa, but was told that I have "Inactive TB" and that I need to contact the health authorities within 30 days of arrival to Canada.

My biggest concern: can it be that the diagnosis be mistaken for lung cancer? As part of the medical checkup, I underwent X-RAY examination last April. I am 35 and have been smoking for ten years until I stopped a month ago.

I feel very well. My concern is that whether I should be worried that the X-RAY results, which were interpreted by the Canadian Immigration authorities as "Inactive TB" be in fact lung cancer in its early stage?

I lived all my life in "safe" countries in western Europe, where the occurance of TB is very rare.

Please advise me. I am really worried and don't want to share my worries with friends or family at this stage.

Many thanks.

Don't worry about that, inactive TB germ has nothing to do with the Lung Cancer. Be optimistic and May God keep you well and health.

Take Care.
