Cancer

by mauicoke, Nov 08, 2007 10:50PM
I wrote the other day about my mom. Well the next question is what can be done if the cancer is in the bones?  I was told tonight that the spot on her lungs is cancer. Also the tumors in her neck is cancer too plus now it is in the bones.

Hopefully somebody that knows more then me will respond.  It doesn't sound like the cancer stated
in her lungs, if that is truew its not lung cancer but possibly bone cancer, which not to frighten you
but you should know all you can to make your mom as comfortable as possible. Alot of pain killers,
because it is very painful, I'am sure the drs. would have suggested treatment??  If it was of benefit??
What do they say??  You have to ask ALOT of questions.
I hope you have loved ones to lean on,

I'am sorry, Iwent back and read your other posts, from this one it sounded like maybe it started somewhere else.  I'am very sorry, I lost both my parents and it is very hard watching them wither
away, LITERALLY.  My partners dad has lung cancer (they think) tumors in lung and brain!!  But most often at his age it is Lung or Renal.  He only went for heart exams and tx, It will be tough as my
partner never lost anyone close, You may be in the same situation. My partner is 51 and dad is 76
May I ask how old you are and do you have a family or support?

Again I didn't understand your post, And I hate to put my foot in my mouth but, yoiu have to look at the five years that she did beat this monster!!!

                                                    Sincerely,
                                                     Denise

I lost my dad about 11/2 years ago from colen cancer. It seems like my parents took turns being sick. First my dad with Prostate cancer(sp)  He had radiation (sp) and he was find. Then my mom had lung cancer and she removed the big lobe. About 7 years ago. She was ok after that. Then she got overian cancer(sp) got it all out and was fine. Then my dad got colen cancer about 2 years after he died. Now my mom has neck spazems and they where treating her for that. When they went in to do more testing they found cancer in her bones (not comferm yet) It's in lungs and that is bad enought. I wish I could give her 1 of my lungs I am only 46. Mauigirl
