Chest/Lung Pain

Whenever i take a brisk walk (20 minutes or more) i feel a pain on my right side which feels like it's either above or in my lung, i also sometimes have a dull ache on my left side slightly under the sternum and to the left on the ribcage, i was diagnosed with musculoskeletal chest pain a few months ago, is this what is causing the symptoms?

I forgot to add sometimes there is also a pain on either my lower left/right back when walking and sometimes (rarely) wake up with a sweat.

I had the same type of symptoms after my triple by-pass surgery but I also experienced chest tightening and breathing difficulties if I tried to go more than a certain pace.  Now the chest tightening and breathing problems have gotten worse even at rest.  I am currently undergoing all kinds of tests to see what might be causing these symptoms to get worse.   What is musculosketal? I do, as well, have sweating not only at night but all through the day  My doctor did send me for a stomach ultrasound, as well as, had a specialist go down my throat to see what was going on.  Have you had any other tests or talked to your doctor about these symptoms?    If so, what has your doctor said?

Hi,

One of the difficulties with fighting cancer is that the symptoms aren’t very specific. The history of the bypass raises suspicions especially since the symptoms are similar as you have observed. I am guessing this has been thoroughly evaluated that is why there are plans to look into your stomach. Lung cancer with symptoms even at rest would be big enough to be seen on a chest X-ray, so perhaps even this preliminary test may raise suspicion that there is something going on there. Stay positive.
