My Uncle - 83 yrs. old.  Was told he had scarring on his lungs, showed up on an X-Ray, booked for a CAT scan in two weeks.  We are both so worried.

We hope its nothing serious, neither of us know anything about lung disease

Is scarring noemal at his age, he hasn't smoked in 25yrs, lives a very healthy live style.

Thanks - Lynne

Just a story from my experience. My father in law had the same diagnosis and they went in and cut him open to check and it turned out to be scarring from shrapnel from WWII. Unfortunately the operation was too much for him and he died from it. I don't know if scarring is something that just happens as we age or not.

Good luck maybe go for a second opinion.
