Highly enlarged precarinal lymph node

by Topcat03, Nov 06, 2009 11:52AM
Hi,

I hope that someone can provide some information as to my condition.

My doctor discovered a 'Highly enlarged precarinal lymph node and soft tissue at the right lung hilum' on a CT scan.

I had been referred to him as I have developed asthma symptoms.

I have been using a number of differing inhalers over the last three years but always developed a servere sore throat after use. I am currently on 'Symbicort Turbohaler 200 6' but again my voice has almost entirely gone and my chest feels extremely strained.

Can anyone explain, in layman's language, what this means? Do I have a real problem? Should I be worrying?

Thank you for your help

Tricia
