Hoarseness

by Pat834, Mar 22, 2009 10:51AM
I have experienced hoarseness for over a month now. I've never been hoarse before. I don't remember being sick and becomming hoarse, it just seemed to happen without any other symptoms. Because I didn't feel sick, I just ignored it but now I'm beginning to worry what's causing it. I don't know if it's related, but I also feel a "presence" in my upper chest and a "fluttering" sensation. I can't tell if my heart is fluttering or if it's a spasm of some sort, but it happens a lot.

I went to the doctor and got an EKG...totally normal.

I'm wondering what steps to take next? Heart? Lungs? Chest X Ray?

I'm not a hypochondriac. I rarely go to the doctor and I don't want to spend a LOT of money if i dont' have to!
